New Media Network is going to Tokyo to study Connected TV, Mobile and new media devices.

Hulu, AppleTV, Google,  Netflix,  Sony, Samsung and Panasonic is now the front runners is the next huge media-industry game shift. Not only web clips, but the whole film and TV-industry is in play, with new challenges and  opportunities and the challenges of the platform shift.

There tablet as well as the smartphones are now creating significant shifts in media behavior for several generations, as incredible amount of compelling content is made available both from newcomers and from the old media industry as well.

Only 2 years after Apple included the tablet as a new, but still surprisingly powerful mediaplatform-portifolio, are Apple and the other front runners now moving to introduce a powerful game shift for TV-industry that will most likely have huge consequences not only for the film and TV, but for the whole online industry as well.

Who will be the winners in this clash between global and regional giants? How will will value chains be reconstructed and what will be the power of the global technology giants as they clash or collaborate with strong regional media companies.

What will the effect be on the rest of the media-industry?

Tokyo, is together with California, New York and London the huge melting pots for this industry change, and was way ahead of most western countries with sophisticated business models and advanced content on the mobile screen, and is again, together with Seoul, where the future of both mobile and TV is under construction.
