Our goal is to generate insight and knowledge of how the international mediaindustry evolves, see what implications this has for the Nordic media market and contribute so that the Nordic companies can utilize and adapt to this knowledge.
Since the spring of 2001, the nordic media companies have met in New Media Network to discuss trends, business opportunities and strategies for the digital media industry. Across the traditional boundaries between telecommunications, publishing, newspaper,software, consulting and government agencies there have been discussions about trends in our industry, we have been particularly concerned to learn from international developments in this area.
New Media Network is an independent forum that does not have political or industrial objectives. We are not an interest organization. This means we do not take a position on licenses, standards, open or closed networks etcetera, but we are very interested in understanding the business implications that follow from them.
Our goal is for each manager to develop their own expertise and insight and use this to make better decisions for their business. Moreover, it is a value to meet with other leaders and expand personal networks. Frequently, such contact will end up in joint projects and new business opportunities. Getting inspiration is important.
New Media Network want to facilitate an open exchange of ideas through thematic meetings where we invite to lectures and panel debates, and international study tours where we meet the leading players in international media. Focusing on digital developments particularly.
